Field Notes: AI Empathy Trap, Yellow Brick Road, and Einstein

    I. Notes From Me 1. Finding the Human Balance"AI works great for understanding the broad middle of the bell curve. But innovation? Innovation happens at the edges. It happens with the customers who have the strongest needs, the deepest pains, and the greatest willingness to try something new."

Let's be honest – AI is everywhere right now. Here's my take on finding the "Human Balance" in the emergence of AI. Read the article here.

"AI can give you breadth, but it can't give you depth. It can tell you what customers are doing, but it often misses why they're doing it. And in innovation, the 'why' is where the gold is buried."

II. Notes From The Frontline Yellow Brick RoadAn expedition just north of the Hawaiian Islands to a deep-sea ridge revealed a surprising discovery, a "Yellow Brick Road!" The exploration vessel Nautilus was surveying within Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument (PMNM), one of the largest marine conservation areas in the world. A good reminder that our word is large and there is still plenty to discover.

III. Notes as Quotes“Our technology has exceeded our humanity.” — Albert Einstein

Often quoted in discussions about ethics in technology, this line from Einstein calls for a balance, warning against letting technological advancements outpace human compassion and moral consideration.
